The Silk Exchange (La Lonja de la Seda) is one of Valencia’s most emblematic buildings, a masterpiece of Gothic civil architecture. The Plaza de la Virgen is in the Seu. The neighbourhood, in the district of Ciutat Vella. The plaza has an irregular shape, although it is mainly quadrilateral in shape, and it is totally pedestrianised. One of the most famous “horchaterías” in Valencia and the oldest in the world, this refreshment stall that sells the famous local drink “horchata” is just a five-minute walk from the accommodation.
